Natasha Romanoff is a woman that was created and born of the Red Room. She didn't have a normal childhood at all. Her family was more of a holding tank until She was old enough to be of use. Natasha went through so much physical and psychological torture left it's mark. Natasha is hardened towards the world and her place in it.
She does have a softer side as well, although she shows it rarely and usually reserved for Clint Barton or Steve Rogers and Yelena Bolova. She views Yelena as a true sister and treats her as such. She is not the type of person to openly display her emotions but she does feel things like anger, regret, remorse, guilt, longing. She feels things deeply which is why she will do whatever it takes to get her family back together.
